my main art journal.

May 30, 2015 By Mikaela Huber 2 Comments

I love art. I love creating, in general. Right now this is my main art journal, but currently I have 4-5 I’m working on. This one is almost done, and its gotten pretty full of painty, chunky, crinkly yumminess.art journal edited

I don’t always finish pages, and I don’t always like how they look. Some are rather odd, and just weird. But art is just about the process, and let me tell you , 90% of my pages aren’t finished/pleasing to look at. But they eventually get finished, because I just keep adding and throwing more paint, and they get better.  There’s a huge difference between my early pages and the pages I’ve done recently, probably because I started it in September-October 2014.lady with no head aj page

I do really like some of my pages though.

The original quote is 'you have glaxies inside your head stop letting people tell you that you cannot shine.' But I tweaked it some.

And when I started getting into the whole art realm, I started with drawing, or more specifically, when I read one of my aunt’s Zentangle books. So stop letting people tell you that you cannot shine.

rain.

rain

I love when rain falls like wet curtains, layer

after layer or perfectly shaped individual drops.

It is so easy to think of rain as a collective

unit, one consistent and omnipresent mass. It is

so easy to forget that each raindrop is falling

alone to the earth for the first time.

So too are we.

Always falling alone, but part of something so

much bigger, so much more beautiful than  we could

ever be alone.

-Tyler Knott Gregson-

Yes. I love this. I find it so beautiful, because I really do love rain. I adore it. It nourishes and feeds, but it is also wild and dangerous. It awes me how small I am when rain torrents outside the window, for God is in control of everything, and that above all is what I love about rain.

Stand in awe and sin not : commune with your own heart upon your bed and be still. Selah.

Psalm 4:4 KJV
